Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the creativity and perception of street art by young people in two cities of the Republic of Tatarstan – Kazan and Almetyevsk. It is noted that street art is not only a way of self-expression, but also a platform for public discussions. Graffiti and street art create opportunities for the development of new forms of socio-cultural activities that modify public space. New forms of art form and support cultural diversity, and are a kind of public dialogue between urban youth, the municipality and street artists. The works of urban artists reflect modern discourse, which reveals trends, aspirations, and vectors of youth development. In turn, from the point of view of functionality and potential, public spaces used for street art contribute to the development of civil society, free creativity and collective interest practices that trigger the processes of personality formation.
