https://doi.org/10.26907/2079-5912.2023.2.25-28

Abstract

This article is based on a sociological study that examines the criteria of adulthood in the assessments of youth. Based on scientific literature, some criteria of adulthood were selected. The authors of the study found that today's youth perceive the criteria of adulthood and social maturity differently than previous generations. The article examines criteria of adulthood such as career, family, life practices, separation from parents, and analyzes the youth's assessments on these criteria. The research results were obtained through a mass questionnaire survey on attitudes towards various everyday practices considered in the context of social maturity. Based on the study, the youth's attitude towards certain life practices was identified, which may indicate the presence or absence of various trends in youth behavior.
