The role of the media environment in forming the political interests of youth students (regional aspect)

Abstract

The study of the practice of media consumption shows that every year the time spent by users in the Internet environment is increasing. Media space, digitalization of media have led to fundamental changes, both quantitative and qualitative, in the information and communication system. Providing information and communication interactions in the social system, building relationships between citizens and government, the media sphere has become an important factor in political development. It represents the interests of various groups of the population, introduces them to participate in the management of public life, forms a sense of ownership and responsibility for ongoing events, awareness of their importance and belonging to the state. The article presents the results of a study of the influence of the media on political interests, attitudes and orientations, the volume and nature of media consumption of student youth in the region of Tatarstan.
