Reproductive Behavior: Theoretical Approaches and Contemporary Scenarios

Abstract
Reproductive behavior is a complex term that can be viewed from many sides. Reproductive behavior is in the focus of demography, medicine, psychology, biology, social psychology, sociology. The theoretical and methodological foundations of reproductive behavior are laid in interdisciplinary research. The category of reproductive behavior has been used in Russian demography and sociology since the 70s of the XX century. The article describes the main periods of conceptualization of this term, the definition and a new approach focused on the sociological aspect also addresses the topic of transformation of social reproductive practices, the formation of new trends in the family institute
