The factors of protest activity of russian youth

Abstract

In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of protest actions in Russia, in which young people, students and schoolchildren are increasingly involved. The article analyzes theoretical aspects, as well as empirical data to identify non-political factors in the protest activity of Russian youth. The article examines the results of a questionnaire survey of Russian youth conducted in 2021. 2000 people aged from 14 to 35 years old were interviewed in all federal districts of Russia. It has been established that the youth of Russia has a fairly high protest potential, in fact, every third is ready in one form or another to take part in various protest actions. As a result of the study, factors were identified that affect the attitude of Russian youth to protest activity: the level of material well-being of young people and the region of residence
