Abstract
The article is devoted to the identification of features of the creative class, values of its representatives, as well as the sphere of creative industries in the post-industrial society of Russia. The study focuses on the modern branch of the economy, deriving profit through the sale of economic benefits created by creative and intellectual activities. The creative class is people of a new formation, seeking not only to increase income, but also to get satisfaction from the work process, as well as the creation of individualized goods and services, capable of competing with mass and standard products and bringing benefits to society. Young people, in particular, belong to the creative class, they are more plastic and tolerant to the rapidly changing socio-economic environment, which underlines the need for research in this area.
