Donorship as a type of manifestation of civic engagement in modern Russia

Abstract

The article considers donation as one of the forms of civic engagement, which can play a certain role in the formation of a sense of patriotism and caring for one's neighbor. In recent years, according to the results of sociological research and statistics, there has been an increase in the number of blood donation practices and its components in Russia. An important motive for donors is to save the life of a stranger, provide assistance, support and complicity. Students are most actively involved in donor practices. Donation is a practice of civic engagement, forms a culture of caring and responsibility of citizens.
