Abstract

The article is devoted to the consideration of the process of reproduction of Soviet traditions in the space of organized amateur activity.

Amateur folk ensembles are collectives founded in the Soviet period. Ensembles are continuing their activities at the moment on the basis of cultural and leisure institutions (houses, palaces of culture). Folk ensembles continue to construct Soviet traditions and behavioral patterns despite the absence of state ideology in Russia. The article presents the results of the author's qualitative research on the case study strategy. The research focuses on how Soviet cultural practices are reproduced in leisure organizations at present.
