Abstract

The institutes of support for the natives of Australia and New Zealand have been studied. The reasons and features of their formation in historical retrospective are considered. The functions of state institutions - the National Agency for Indigenous Australians and the Maori Development Ministry Te Puni Kōkiri - have been defined. The role of participation of the indigenous population in the development of these institutions is revealed. The base for monitoring public services and programs has been determined. The features of the formation of the Anglo-Saxon model of support for the indigenous population of Australia and New Zealand within the framework of British law are described.
