Abstract

The article contains an analysis of the role and social status of women in the society of modern Uzbekistan. In the course of the author's sociological research, an attempt is made to determine how actively the transformation of the role of women in socio-economic relations takes place in the conditions of the Eastern mentality. If earlier women were perceived mainly as housewives, now the level of women's business activity is gradually increasing. In particular, there is a course in the country to popularize business activities among women, and the female sex is increasingly in demand in politics. Based on the results of the analysis, it was revealed that the media are the leading tool that forms stereotypes about women, so the media should be used as an educational element on the issue of raising the status and role of women in Uzbek society. Uzbekistan has developed a new strategy for political reforms, which includes increasing the socio-political activity of women.
