После распада СССР в бывших союзных республиках начали происходить процессы трансформации во всех сферах социальной, политической и духовно-культурной жизни. Не остались прежними внутри- и межконфессиональные отношения: проявилась скрываемая ранее напряженность в православии, вылившаяся сегодня в религиозно-политический конфликт с прямым силовым столкновением в виде захвата церковных зданий и физического насилия.
Независимость страны вызвала к жизни старую идею создания единой украинской церкви по принципу: национальное государство – национальная церковь. Эту позицию одобрило и поддержало также политическое руководство новообразованного государства.
Интересное наблюдение: социально-религиозные процессы, проходящие на территориях бывших республик СССР, проходят по сходному алгоритму, свидетельствующему об определенной закономерности, проистекающей, вероятно, из одинаковой цели – освободиться от влияния России, как преемника СССР, не только в политико-административной плане, но и постараться разорвать религиозно-канонические связи с бывшей метрополией путем объединения разрозненных институциональных образований в единую национально-конфессиональную структуру. Однако, несмотря на достижение такой цели – создание Православной церкви Украины – противостояние не прекратилось вследствие нерешенности других межконфессиональных, а также личностных проблем некоторых церковных иерархов.
В статье ставится вопрос о дальнейшем развитии религиозной ситуации на Украине.
After the collapse of the USSR, transformation processes began to take place in the former republics of the Soviet Union in all spheres of social, political, spiritual and cultural life. The interfaith relations did not remain the same: we can see tension within Orthodoxy, in particular, between the church structures of the Kiev and Moscow Patriarchate, which continues today.The independence of the country caused to life the old idea of creating a united Ukrainian church on the principle: the national state - the national church. This position was also supported by the political leadership of the newly formed state.It is characteristic that the social and religious processes taking place in the former Republics of the Soviet Union are carried out according to the same algorithm, which testifies to a certain pattern, which probably results from the same purpose: to free themselves from Russia's influence not only in political and administrative terms, as a successor to the USSR, but also to try to break religious and canonical ties with the former metropolis by uniting scattered institutional entities into a single and one national and confessional structure. However, despite the fact of achievement of this goal (the establishment of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine) the confrontation did not stop because other interfaith problems as well as personal problems of some church hierarchs had not been resolved.The article raises the question of the further development of the religious situation in Ukraine.
