В данной статье приводятся результаты социологического исследования, проведенного летом 2021 года, целью которого было выявить мнение горожан о важности и значении театра им. Г. Камала в их жизни, а также их ожидания о миссии, значении и функциях национального театра. Данные выводы базируются на результатах, полученных в ходе четырех фокус-групп, проведенных среди студентов Казанского Федерального университета, а также онлайн-опроса, в котором приняли участие 1056 человек. Данные опроса показывают, что в г. Казани есть культура посещения театров, для жителей важно сохранять этнические традиции, они хотят иметь свой национальный современный театр, при этом старшее поколение привязано к существующему зданию театра им. Г. Камала. В статье предлагаются варианты использования старого здания театра и даются рекомендации по возвращению его былой популярности среди населения РТ.

This article presents the results of a sociological study conducted in the summer of 2021, the purpose of which was to identify the opinion of citizens about the importance and significance of the Kamal Theater in their lives, as well as their expectations about the mission, meaning and functions of the national theater. These conclusions are based on the results obtained during four focus groups conducted among students of Kazan Federal University, as well as an online survey in which 1,056 people took part. Survey data show the existence of a theatrical culture in Kazan. It is important for residents to preserve ethnic traditions. They want to have their own national modern theater, while the older generation is tied to the existing building of the Kamal Theater. The authors of the article offer options for using the old theater building and gives recommendations for increasing popularity of theater among the population of the Republic of Tatarstan
